Too many moms in the US are having their babies too close together. It is recommended that new moms wait at least (18) months before their next child.

  • Why wait? Waiting for at least (18) months before Wait at Least 18 Months before Your Next Childbecoming pregnant with another child will allow your body enough time to fully recover from your last baby and makes for a healthier pregnancy in the future.
  • What will happen if I have my babies too close together? Not waiting at least (18) months between pregnancies will increase the chances of having a preterm baby or a baby born before the full 39 weeks. Babies born too early are not fully developed and are more likely to be born with illnesses or to have serious health problems.
